The Redhead Cichlid (Vieja Synspila) is also known as the Quetzal Cichlid and the Firehead Cichlid. These cichlids can grown to be 12 inches in length.


These fish can grow to be 12 inches in length. It is one of the most colorful cichlid species with males displaying metallic green, blue, green, pink, and orange along their flanks.


The Redhead Cichlid has been used in creating new hybridized aquarium cichlids that became popular in Asia in recent years. The Redhead Cichlid is probably one of the parents of the modern Blood Parrot and the Flowerhorn Cichlid
